Rhonda worked with my twins during year 10 and 11. My daughter was predicted a good grade but lacked confidence - my son, however, had struggled during his year 10 mock exams and his teachers were concerned he might fail. The twins found their sessions with Rhonda engaging and enjoyable, and my daughter quickly became more confident. Rhonda tailored sessions to suit each child's needs and interests, and quickly identified some of the barriers affecting my son's exam performance. With Rhonda's encouragement and tuition, both children achieved great GCSE results - my daughter achieved her predicted high grade, and my son's grade improved 3 grades to a 7! Thank you, Rhonda, for helping both children achieve their potential!
by Corrina LunnI cannot recommend Rhonda highly enough. My daughter had always struggled with her English and when she failed her mock exams we were worried that she'd go on to fail her actual GCSE. Rhonda was so patient and always encouraged our daughter giving her the confidence she needed to not only pass her English GCSE but to get a grade she would never have dreamed of. My daughter was reluctant at first to have extra lessons but in the end used to look forward to Rhonda's lessons. Thank you Rhonda, we are so grateful.

Rhonda is kind and patient and understood exactly where the gaps in her learning were. She has a gift of making the learning accessible and understandable. My daughter misses her sessions now they have finished. She comfortably passed her English GCSEs and is now starting sixth form. This wouldn’t have been possible without Rhonda’s help, we are extremely grateful.

He's learning all the time and enjoying himself while he does. We have kept online lessons through lockdown which have been a great benefit to him. Rhonda has been wonderful in building Samuel's confidence with all aspects of his English work and he even rises early now to write stories and dreams of becoming an author. Since lockdown Rhonda has provided regular online tuition to Samuel which has been brilliant and a huge help to us as working parents. I would highly recommend Rhonda if you are considering a private tutor. She is highly professional, very personable and a wonderful teacher. Rhonda has developed a great relationship with Samuel who now really loves his English classes.

Work is tailored to my daughter's needs and at the correct level. She uses personalised games and tools to help my daughter stay engaged whilst learning. My daughter now has increased confidence and less resistance to doing work. She has an improved reading age and the confidence to have a go at writing independently. Rhonda said make homework fun so we painted a chalkboard in the kitchen and homework has suddenly become fun.

This was affecting his learning and his confidence. Rhonda made my son feel comfortable straightaway and explained everything so that he understood. My son is gaining confidence in his ability and is now enjoying his English lessons more at school. In his weekly spelling tests he is now getting 10 out of 10. Rhonda makes English simple and I would recommend her.

Niamh has always struggled with spelling and English in general, to the point where it had really started holding her back in many aspects of school, including her mental well-being. Since Niamh started her lessons, the academic improvement has been incredible. Rhonda has filled Niamh with confidence, she has tailored the work so that Niamh is reading the work she is interested in. During these uncertain times, Niamh has continued her lessons over Skype and this has been a huge relief to me whilst I have been attempting to home school. As a parent it is a joy for me to listen to the lessons. Niamh has a really lovely relationship with Rhonda, she is comfortable with her, they have a laugh together and Niamh looks forward to and enjoys her lessons. I cannot recommend Rhonda enough. My daughter has started her options and is working towards her GCSE's and Rhonda has devised a GCSE AQA English Revision Pack. My daughter has read through this and so have I. This is informative and will definitely help her with her studies from now till she sits her exams . If you have a child who are starting their exams either next year or the year later then I would highly recommend one of these packs. Rhonda uses traditional methods we feel this is an absolute must when teaching English as using computer apps can only take your child so far especially when practicing handwriting etc. So thank you Rhonda for all your help and support with our daughter we could not have caught up without you.
